
Romy has recently joined CoJiT as a Researcher for our podcast series Combating Jihadist Terror and to oversee its promotion, including via social media engagement, as part of CoJiT’s stated aim of promoting a ‘national conversation’ on the subject. Romy graduated from the University of Leeds in 2021 with a Degree in Politics and Middle Eastern Studies. Her dissertation examined the United States’ launch of the War on Terror in response to the attacks of September 11. Romy is also a mental health support worker at ISL in Leeds, where she works with vulnerable individuals susceptible to abuse and exploitation, providing them support and guidance.
